Siberia
I arrived in Petropavlosk, the capital of Kazakhstan, under a clear blue sky. In a cafe on the outskirts of town I bumped into a sailor called Victor who told me he had just returned from the port of Toyama in northern Japan. He proudly showed me a Hokuriku Expressway map published by the Japan Highway Public Corporation. (from "Against the Wind" - Poolbeg Press)
